Overview

RISE 97 was a kickboxing event held on January 25, 2014 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. In the main event, Kosuke Komiyama defended the RISE super featherweight title against Masanobu Goshu by decision. The card also featured the semi-finals and final of the RISE lightweight next-challenger tournament, won by Shohei Asahara, the first round of the RISE bantamweight title tournament, and a retirement exhibition for Dyki.
